We accept both vision and medical insurance plans. Medical insurance covers visits that involve medical eye conditions such as eye infections, diabetic eye exams, glaucoma, dry eyes, or floaters. Vision insurance covers services for eyeglasses, contact lenses, and general wellness exams. We understand that many patients need both vision and medical services at the time of their visit. We will try to maximize your benefits to the best of our ability, but some insurance companies require that you use vision and medical benefits on separate visits.
If you are unsure whether or not you have vision coverage and would like to get glasses or contact lenses, please contact your insurance company or your human resources department to determine whether or not you have enrolled in a vision plan. You will also be responsible for knowing your specialist copay if you are using medical insurance for your visit. You must bring a referral if your insurance requires it. Most HMO plans require a referral.
We currently participate with the following list of insurance companies. This list is subject to change and is not exhaustive. We always recommend that you check with your insurance company to see if our office is a participating provider prior to scheduling your appointment.
